Just submit! Ethel seeks a wide variety of authors, types of writing/art/translations/hybrid forms, formats, sizes, ideas, content!

Ok, but a bit more info: I am currently playing catch-up. Ethel is run by me and only me and I have fallen a bit behind these past few years, so have had to close submissions for a while while I catch up. I am currently booked on chapbooks through May 2027, and imagine I will open submissions back up sometime in Spring 2027, but please stay tuned.

I am even further behind in getting issues of the Ethel journal out! I sort-of stalled on Ethel 11, was supposed to get Ethel 12 out almost 2 years ago, and still haven’t—though I will! I will remain closed for journal submissions until I can get Ethel 12 out, so stay tuned.
